By the time the iPhone 4 and the next-gen Apple Watch are out, we will likely be paying more than $300 for a pair of wireless headphones.

That’s according to a new report from Consumer Reports, which has compiled data on more than 1.3 million wireless headphones purchased in the U.S. over the past five years.

While it’s possible the price of wireless earbuds could drop a bit, the Consumer Reports report indicates they will likely remain the most expensive earbud purchase in the market for years to come.

In addition to Apple’s recent price cuts for wireless headphones, Consumer Reports also noted that Apple’s AirPods are also starting to be less expensive.

Apple’s AirPod has been a very popular and reliable option for users of wired and wireless headphones alike, as it’s the best option for a wireless earphone at this point.

In terms of wireless quality, it’s also a little bit better than the likes of the Sony Wireless EarPods.

In fact, in the new Consumer Reports’ report, the AirPod is rated the best earphone in its class by both reviewers and consumers.

Consumer Reports’ review also mentioned that the AirPod has the best audio quality of any wireless earphones it tested.

While the AirSpeakers in its top five are often found to be more expensive, Consumer Report noted that the EarPod is also one of the best wireless earpods for the money.
